About Alison

Trained at Brighton Art College and the Royal College of Art Alison set up her studio workshop in Norfolk in 1980.

Her work has been shown widely in galleries and exhibitions in London and across the country.

Initially specialising in techniques of metal inlay she now works primarily in silver and gold with an emphasis on exploring many different characteristics that can be found within the metals and their juztaposition. The use of strong lines and contrasting textures being a feature of her work. She is happy to work to commission both large and small and to discuss design ideas within the framework of her style.

Her most recent major commission was to make a carved and engraved finial in silver and gold in the form of the Norfolk Coat of Arms for the top of the Under Sherriff of Norfolk’s wand.
